The Gucci 5500M is the men's size of Gucci's 5500 series, a Swiss-made quartz dress watch in a 35 mm polished stainless-steel case: a wide smooth bezel frames a lacquered black dial whose white Roman numerals sit on a sloping inner ring, with a date aperture at 3 o'clock that takes the III's place and pushes it down to the 4 o'clock position, so the dial carries eleven numerals and no IIII; tapered baton hands, 30 m water resistance and an integrated brick-link steel bracelet complete it, and the companion 5500L is the smaller ladies' size.
