The Hamilton Ventura S Quartz is a smaller-scale take on the triangular Ventura, the shield-shaped model Hamilton first launched in 1957 as the world's first battery-powered electric wristwatch. This reference sets an asymmetric stainless steel case measuring 34 mm by 38 mm, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and 50 m of water resistance around a black dial worked in a three-dimensional pattern. A quartz caliber F03.101 keeps time. It matters as the most compact modern reading of one of the twentieth century's boldest case shapes, carrying the original's radical geometry in a downsized, battery-driven form. (Hamilton)
