The Hautlence HL2.1 is a 2011 execution of the independent Neuchâtel manufacture's architecture-inspired HL2 line, cased in 18K white gold at a rectangular 50 by 42 by 17.8 mm, sapphire crystal front and back. Its self-winding in-house Calibre HL 2.0, a 552-part movement running at 18,000 vph with a 45-hour reserve, drives an openworked, three-dimensional display: hours advance around a half-trailing chain rather than a conventional wheel, minutes read out on a retrograde arc, and a power-reserve indicator sits alongside, all of it exposed rather than hidden under a dial.
