The IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Edition "La Cumbre Volcano" reference IW379505 is a 2016 limited edition of 500 pieces named for a volcano in the Galápagos, part of IWC's conservation-themed diver series. The 44 mm stainless steel case wears a black vulcanised-rubber coating and houses the in-house Calibre 89365, a flyback chronograph with a 68-hour power reserve, the watch rated to 300 metres. Dive time is set through IWC's patented SafeDive system, which mechanically couples an external rotating bezel to an internal timing ring via a sealed gear train, so the outer ring turns freely while the indication advances only one way.
