IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Kurt Klaus Edition
More actions
The IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Kurt Klaus Edition is the 2007 send-off for watchmaker Kurt Klaus's hand-designed 1985 Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph movement: built without CAD tools, it was the first perpetual calendar wristwatch whose day, date, month, moon phase and full four-digit year all advance together from the crown alone, without correction pushers. (Revolution) When IWC moved the Da Vinci to its current tonneau case in 2007, it retired the movement with a limited "Kurt Klaus" edition in platinum, rose gold and steel, each engraved with his signature. Reference IW376203 is the rose-gold version, a 43.1 × 51 mm case on a silver guilloché dial with a moon-phase subdial, caliber 79261, limited to 500 pieces. (Sotheby's; Grailzee)
