The Kurono Tokyo Classic "Midnight Blue," reference CB001B, is a 37 mm high-polish 316L steel dress watch from independent Japanese watchmaker Hajime Asaoka's accessible sub-brand, limited to 50 pieces and released in December 2019 alongside its cream-dial twin, CB001E. The two-piece dial pairs a mirror-finish concentric outer ring with a deep blue center, high-polish bar appliques at the cardinal points, and a swallow hour hand with a stylized syringe minute hand under a box-shaped sapphire crystal; the case is signed "Bunkyō Tokyo" after the line's original name. Inside is the automatic Miyota Calibre 90S5, a Japan-made premium-grade movement with hacking seconds and a 40-hour power reserve. Kurono Tokyo donated a portion of each sale to charity. (Deployant) Aldis Hodge, playing Detective James Lanier in The Invisible Man (2020), has said in his own words that Asaoka "allow[ed] me to wear two different models" of the Kurono Classic in the film, one cream-dialed and one blue-dialed.
