Longines Pilot Majetek
More actions
The Longines Pilot Majetek traces to April 1, 1935, when Longines registered the Majetek name with the International Bureau of Industrial Property in Bern for a pilot's watch built to Czechoslovak Air Force specifications; military-issue examples were engraved "Majetek Vojenské Správy" ("property of the military administration") on the caseback. The modern revival keeps the coin-edged, cushion-shaped 43 mm steel case and a black dial with oversized luminous Arabic numerals and a small-seconds subdial, now driven by Longines' in-house Calibre L893.6, a COSC-certified automatic with a silicon balance spring beating at 25,200 vibrations per hour for a 72-hour reserve. A titanium Pioneer Edition variant lightens the case and swaps in a matte dial finish for a more overtly vintage read on the same design. (Longines)
