The Luminox Black Ops A.8815 is a blacked-out member of the 8800 series that the Swiss brand rolled out around 2009. Its 45 mm case is molded from Carbonox, a carbon-reinforced compound, roughly 13 mm thick, carrying a Swiss Ronda quartz movement, a date window, and a unidirectional rotating bezel. A mineral crystal fronts the black dial, water resistance runs to 200 metres, and a black rubber strap around 23 mm wide completes the all-dark look. Like the wider Navy SEAL-derived catalogue, it uses always-on tritium gas tubes on the hands and hour markers for illumination that needs no external light or winding to glow for years, the defining Luminox trait (walmart.com, tourneau.com).
