The Luminox Leatherback SEA Turtle joined the Swiss brand's outdoor range in 2017, its name and silhouette nodding to the endangered sea turtle: the protected crown is balanced by an opposite outcropping so the 39 mm case reads like a shell. That case is molded from lightweight Carbonox, holding a Swiss-made Ronda 515 quartz movement behind a hardened mineral crystal rated 550–650 Vickers, with a screw-down back giving 100 metres of water resistance. A silicone strap keeps the whole watch under 40 grams. As on every Luminox, self-powered tritium micro-gas tubes light the hands and markers for a constant glow lasting up to 25 years, needing no charging or light source (luminox.com).
