Luminox Original Navy SEAL 3001
More actions
The Luminox Original Navy SEAL 3001 is the black three-hand dive watch the brand built its identity on. After Luminox worked to US Navy SEAL requirements in the early 1990s for an always-legible operational watch, the 3000 series answered with self-powered tritium gas-tube illumination (micro-tubes that glow continuously for up to 25 years without charging) in a light 43 mm Carbonox case with a unidirectional bezel, a Ronda 515 quartz movement, and a 200-metre rating. Paul Walker, himself a documented Luminox wearer, carries the 3001 as undercover cop Brian O'Conner in The Fast and the Furious; its closely related sibling, the Luminox Original Navy SEAL 3901, turns up on George Clooney in Ocean's Eleven the same year.
