Patek Philippe Nautilus 5726
More actions
The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5726 is, in its standard form, the annual-calendar reference Patek Philippe added to the Nautilus line in 2019, combining a day/date/month display with a moonphase subdial. The example pictured here is not that standard watch: it is a customization designed by Virgil Abloh, at the time artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton, and executed by the Paris jewelry house MAD Paris. The Ref. 5726 was fully disassembled, cleaned, and coated in diamond-like carbon before every visible surface of the case, dial, and bracelet was set with emeralds. Robb Report reports that the piece was one of just two in the world, citing an April 2019 GQ profile of the customization. (Robb Report)
Drake has referenced the watch repeatedly in his lyrics, including on Future's "Life Is Good" ("Virgil got a Patek on my wrist goin' nuts") before featuring it on screen in What's Next. (Robb Report)
