The Resco Patriot is the first watch from Resco Instruments, the Coronado, California maker founded by Navy SEAL instructor R.E. "Rob" Smith, offered for pre-order in February 2010 at $1,225 in brushed or PVD-coated steel. The launch watch paired a 42 mm, 13 mm-thick case rated to 200 metres with a 60-click bezel marked for 12 hours and a Slava S-2427 automatic, held to its nylon or leather strap by hex screws rather than spring bars. (Gear Patrol; Watch Projects) Resco now sells the Gen1 on a Sellita SW200 with a domed sapphire crystal, and a Gen2 rated to 300 metres with a flat crystal, dive bezel and date in 42 and 45 mm; both come in bead-blasted stainless or black DLC.
