The Shinola The Rambler is the Detroit assembler's sport chronograph, reference S0120007931, a 44 mm stainless steel watch with a tachymeter bezel for reading speed off elapsed time. The black dial carries white Arabic numerals and Super-LumiNova, a thirty-minute counter at nine o'clock, small seconds at three and a date aperture at five, and the watch is rated to 50 m on a black rubber strap with a steel ardillon buckle at $875. Inside is an Argonite 5021 quartz movement, Shinola's house name for calibres assembled in Detroit from Swiss and other imported parts, the qualification the company adopted in 2016 after the Federal Trade Commission challenged its unqualified claims that its watches were built in the United States.
