The Sinn 144 St Sa is the Frankfurt maker's instrument chronograph in a 41 mm bead-blasted steel case with sapphire crystals front and back and 200 m of water resistance, the "St Sa" suffix marking exactly that steel-and-sapphire execution. The long-running 144 line has carried several calibers over its production; the current watch runs the Valjoux 7750-descended Concepto 99001 with day-date at 3 o'clock, and the model's blocky case, H-link bracelet, and red-accented central chronograph hands make it one of the most recognizable of the German tool chronographs, a family whose near-identical siblings from Orfina, Porsche Design, and Tutima trace to the same instrument-watch brief.
