The Timex Electric Model 84 is a battery-powered Timex built on the Model 84 movement, a straight electric calibre with a moving coil beating at 21,600 bph that Timex introduced in 1965. It is a back-set design with no date; the Model 85 added one, and the transistor-controlled Model 87 followed in 1969. Collectors tell the series from the earlier back-set Model 67 by the 67's small crown-retaining screw on the case back.
