The Tudor Submariner Date 79090 replaced the brand's undated Submariner in 1989 and was the last Tudor Submariner built with an acrylic crystal, a choice already old-fashioned by the era's sapphire-equipped divers but one that kept the reference visually tied to Tudor's vintage line. It pairs Submariner-style hands with a matte black or blue dial with tritium markers on a folded-link Oyster bracelet, and the case carries drilled lugs for quick strap changes.
