The U-Boat Chimera 7236 is the bronze member of the 43 mm Chimera range Italo Fontana presented in July 2013, when U-Boat scaled its Chimera down from the earlier oversize cases and added a patented crown release: a sculpted pusher between the left-hand crown and its guard ejects the recessed inner crown, one press for the date and two for the time. The range ran from bronze to .925 silver and burnished steel, with gem-set variants and hand-worked Italian straps; the 7236 pairs a bronze case that patinates with wear to a brown dial with bronze-toned numerals and a date at 3, on a brown leather strap, driven by an automatic movement.
