The Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer 1846 is the wristwatch line the Le Locle house launched in 1996 for its 150th anniversary. The name marks 1846, the year Ulysse Nardin set up as a precision chronometer maker; his successors went on to supply deck chronometers to navies in more than fifty countries, and the collection borrows the look of those instruments. Reference 263-66 is a 41 mm steel model with a screw-down crown set between heavy guards, sapphire crystal and 200 m water resistance. The dial follows chronometer practice, with a power-reserve indicator at 12 o'clock and small seconds carrying the date at 6. The automatic caliber UN-26 holds about 42 hours and is COSC-certified.
