The Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Chronometer extended the brand's Marine Chronometer line, itself tracing back to Ulysse Nardin's 19th-century deck chronometers for the world's navies, into a larger 43 mm case with a distinctive fine-fluted edge when it launched in 2007. Cases were offered in stainless steel or rose gold, with black or blue wave-textured dials carrying prominent luminous Roman numerals, a power-reserve subdial at 12 o'clock and a running-seconds/date subdial at 6, driven by the automatic calibre UN-26 with roughly 42 hours of power reserve. (Quill & Pad) The smaller 38–41 mm Marine Chronometer, pictured here in ref. 263-22, shares the same dial layout and "1846" heritage marking at 6 o'clock.
