Casio G-Shock DW6900-1V
More actions
The Casio G-Shock DW6900-1V is the plain black resin model that launched the 6900 line in 1995, a round-cased departure from the squarer DW-5000 family that preceded it. Its case carries the series' Triple Graph display (three small segmented counters above the LCD that run as seconds indicators) and a light button mounted on the front of the case between the guard bars rather than on the flank. It was the first G-Shock with an electroluminescent backlight, which lights the whole panel evenly, and it is rated to 200 m with a multi-function alarm, a flashing alert, a stopwatch and timer, and about two years from a CR2016. Cheap, widely stocked, and endlessly reissued, it remains one of the most-copied bases for G-Shock collaborations. (Casio, G-Central)
