The Casio Pathfinder PAW-1300 is the North American issue of the Pro Trek PRW-1300, the watch Casio built slim on purpose: after mountaineer Hirotaka Takeuchi told the development team he had left his radio-solar Pro Trek behind in the Himalayas because it was too bulky on the wrist, Casio used its high-density mounting technology to shrink the module and launched the result in 2007 (Casio). The 47 mm resin case packs Tough Solar charging, Multi-Band atomic timekeeping that syncs nightly to the WWVB, MSF, DCF77, and JJY time signals, and Casio's second-generation Triple Sensor (digital compass, altimeter, barometer, and thermometer) behind mineral glass with 100-meter water resistance. Executions ranged from the all-black PAW1300-1V through the green-accented PAW1300-3V and grey-and-gold PAW1300G-1V to titanium-braceleted T variants.
