James Cameron's 2009 epic sends paraplegic Marine Jake Sully to Pandora, where the RDA mines unobtanium under Colonel Quaritch's guns while scientists walk the moon in lab-grown avatar bodies. For all its motion-capture spectacle, the human side of the film runs on convincingly ordinary gear, and the watches follow suit: the wrists of Hell's Gate carry mid-2000s Casio solar sensor watches (Pathfinders on the men, a slim G-Shock on pilot Trudy Chacon), chosen like the rest of the kit for function over flash. Worn by Sam Worthington as Jake Sully. A round digital Casio Pathfinder rides Jake Sully's left wrist from the link room through the ops-center scenes: the watch of a Marine who expects to be somewhere without infrastructure, solar-charged, radio-synced, and carrying a compass, altimeter, barometer, and thermometer in the slim case Casio introduced in 2007 after a Himalayan field tester complained its predecessor was too bulky (Casio). The frames show the case shape clearly but never resolve its accent colors, and the spotting record splits on the execution: a watchesinmovies.info identification names the grey-and-gold PAW-1300G-1V, WatchReel titles its entry PAW 1300-3V while describing the G-1V in the same breath, and WatchUseek posters floated the sibling PRG-110 and PAW-1500 before converging on the PAW-1300/PRW-1300 case. Casio Pathfinder

Worn by Stephen Lang as Miles Quaritch. Colonel Quaritch straps his watch over his flight glove for the final assault, a round pale-faced digital worn on gear rather than skin. It is the film's most contested identification: watchesinmovies.info records the Pro Trek PRG-90-3V or its solar-atomic sibling PAW-1200-3V, a WatchUseek reading of the same footage reports the PRG-90's strap and buttons clearly visible late in the film after earlier scenes suggested a Suunto, and WatchReel instead calls it the same Pathfinder PAW-1300 Sully wears. Every candidate belongs to Casio's Pathfinder/Pro Trek solar sensor line: the green -3V executions of the PRG-90 and PAW-1200 would even match the colonel's olive kit, but no frame is legible enough to split them, and nothing narrower than the line is supported. Casio G-Shock G-056

Worn by Michelle Rodriguez as Trudy Chacon. Combat pilot Trudy Chacon wears the slimmest G-Shock Casio ever made: the 11 mm octagonal G-056, the short-lived 2006 "Polygon" series, an angular instrument that reads as issue equipment rather than jewelry. It shows on her left wrist as she works the Samson's controls when the science team first flies out to the forest, and far more clearly in the production's unit photography: the image above is a publicity still from the cockpit set, not a frame. The G-Shock forum member who first ran the sighting down read the case as a GW-056 or G-056 and later submitted it as the G-056-3, while WatchReel records the grey G-056B-8; the two 2006 sister series share their case and module, so the model is secure and the execution stays open between them.
