A Dugena watch is a watch signed by Dugena, the brand of the Deutsche Uhrmacher-Genossenschaft Alpina, a cooperative of German watchmakers founded at Eisenach in 1917 out of the Berlin agency for the Swiss maker Alpina, which made the contraction its sole trade name in 1942 and moved to Darmstadt in 1949. Its purpose was to sell selected watches through member jewellers at moderate prices.
