Big Eyes (2014)

Big Eyes

Tim Burton's biographical drama, written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, tells how Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz) took the credit through the 1950s and 1960s for the wide-eyed waifs painted by his wife Margaret (Amy Adams). Danny Huston plays Dick Nolan, the San Francisco Examiner columnist who promotes Walter and narrates the film. The Weinstein Company released it in December 2014. (IMDb) (Wikipedia)

Watches

Dugena watch

Worn by Danny Huston as Dick Nolan. Premiere Props sold the watch on 7 February 2015 as "Dick Nolan (Danny Huston) screen used, hero, 'Dugena' wristwatch with extra wristband". The lot photograph shows a slim round gold-tone dress watch with a silvered dial, baton markers and a script Dugena signature, on a brown leather strap: a plausible mid-century piece for the San Francisco gossip columnist who narrates the film, whose story runs from 1958 into the 1960s. The lot gives no model or reference. (Premiere Props)
