The TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 is a modern automatic chronograph descended from the Carrera that Jack Heuer launched in 1963 as a clean, legible instrument for racing drivers. This reference carries a 41 mm stainless steel case under a sapphire crystal, rated to 100 m, with a black dial, applied luminous markers, a date window and a three-register chronograph layout. Inside runs the self-winding Calibre 16, a Valjoux 7750-based movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 42-hour reserve. It matters as the everyday expression of Heuer's most storied name, keeping the 1963 template (legibility first, no superfluous markings) in continuous production decades after the original.
