IWC Portofino Automatic IW356501
More actions
The IWC Portofino Automatic IW356501 is the silver-dial steel anchor of the Portofino range IWC rebuilt in 2011, when the line, descended from the 1984 reference 5251, was consolidated around a 40mm three-hander. The IW356501 pairs a silver-plated dial carrying Roman numerals at XII and VI with blued feuille hands and a date at 3, over the calibre 35110, a Sellita SW300-based automatic, on a black alligator strap. It is the plainest expression of the collection named for the Ligurian harbor town, built to disappear under a cuff. Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood wears the watch the spotting record identifies as this reference through House of Cards, one of several IWCs on that wrist during Spacey's tenure as an IWC ambassador.
