He won the Tokyo Drama Awards' Best Actor prize in 2018 for originating Haruta Souichi in Ossan's Love, the breakout boys'-love comedy he has since carried across a 2019 theatrical sequel, a 2019 spin-off season, and the 2024 continuation Ossan's Love Returns, alongside recurring work in the long-running Doctor-X franchise.
