The Lorus Tidal LR0021 dates to around 1990 and comes from Lorus, Seiko's value-focused label. Despite the aquatic name, it is a compact diver-styled quartz watch rather than a tide instrument: a roughly 39 mm case frames a black dial with a triangle-and-dots marker layout, Mercedes-style hands and a date window beneath a rotating bezel. It is rated to 50 metres; in True Detective, the original bracelet was replaced by a rubber wind-velocity strap from the prop master's own kit. (eBay)
