Panerai Luminor Submersible

The Panerai Luminor Submersible is the dive-bezel Luminor of Panerai's late-1990s relaunch. The pictured PAM00024 is a 44 mm steel example whose B-series case dates it to around 1998. The cushion case combines the patented lever crown-guard with a unidirectional rotating dive bezel, and the black dial carries luminous baton and dot markers, Arabic numerals at 12 and 6, small seconds at 9 and a date at 3. PAM00024 is driven by the automatic OP III, Panerai's ETA-based caliber, with roughly a 42-hour reserve. Predating the standalone Submersible line, it shows the diver's rotating bezel grafted onto the classic Luminor case. (SwissWatchExpo, PrestigeTime)
