Worn by Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross. A $125,000 dive chronograph braving explosions and runaway trains; Stallone and Richard Mille later made the survivalist RM 25-01 together. Worn & Wound spotted the titanium RM 032 ahead of release, a 50 mm watch it prices at $125,000. (Worn & Wound) Stallone consigned the watch to Phillips's Racing Pulse sale in New York on 12 December 2020, where the titanium RM032 AL made US$151,200 with his handwritten note; the essay says he "wore this exact watch during filming of The Expendables III (2014), and it is clearly visible in the film", and in the trailer as Ross flies beside Antonio Banderas. Panerai Luminor Submersible

Worn by Jason Statham as Lee Christmas. Montres de Luxe identifies Christmas's watch as a Panerai Submersible, giving no specific reference, and notes Statham as a frequent on-screen wearer of the brand. (Montres de Luxe) The costume lots agree on the model but call the watch a copy: the Nu Image / Millennium Films sale of October 2014 sold the "Lee Christmas elaborate Mogadishu assault ensemble" as lot 1033 with a "replica Panerai Luminor Submersible watch", and when the same ensemble came back to auction in March 2024 the essay again listed "(1) replica Panerai Luminor Submersible watch", "Seen in the explosive opening of the film as Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) and the Expendables team attempt to intercept a shipment of bombs being sent to a Somali warlord." Breitling Avenger

Worn by Mel Gibson as Conrad Stonebanks. Sources disagree on Stonebanks's Avenger. Montres de Luxe names an Avenger Seawolf chronograph; OceanicTime compares it to a first-generation Super Avenger. No available frame resolves the bezel or subdial layout closely enough to settle the disagreement. Suunto Core

Worn by Harrison Ford as Max Drummer. Heritage Auctions' Profiles in History: Nu Image / Millennium Films sale (October 2014, lot 1141) sold CIA handler Max Drummer's watch, "This CIA operative Max Drummer's Suunto Core watch worn while he is flying the chopper to rescue Barney and his team from the Block compound", with "altimeter, barometer and a compass with weather information. All black with rubber wrist band." A pilot flying a rescue into a besieged compound wearing an altimeter-barometer-compass watch is the one Expendables wrist choice that reads as equipment rather than jewellery. The essay names the Core line and its black finish; an all-black Core on an elastomer strap matches the Core All Black execution, but the lot gives no reference. (Heritage Auctions)

Panerai Luminor Submersible

Worn by Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross. Real-adjacent: a replica, not a Panerai. Heritage Auctions' Profiles in History: Nu Image / Millennium Films sale (October 2014, lot 1027) sold the "Barney Ross Mogadishu assault ensemble", khaki cargo pants marked "Barney #2", a "leather bracelet with silver skull motif", his Kimber .45 and a "replica Panerai Luminor Submersible watch". That puts a copy of the Submersible, not the Richard Mille, in the costume for the Somali raid, the same replica issued to Christmas and Gunner; Stallone, who put a real Luminor on screen in Daylight, is dressed here in a likeness of one. Panerai Luminor Submersible

Worn by Dolph Lundgren as Gunner Jensen. Real-adjacent: a replica, not a Panerai. Lot 1016 of the same October 2014 sale, the "Gunner Jensen tactical ensemble", runs from a sleeveless shirt marked "Gunner" and tactical pants marked "Gunner Hero" through a stunt Bowie knife and a dagger pendant etched "VIRTUS" to a "replica Panerai Luminor Submersible watch". It is the third of the team's costumes sold with the same copy, so the production evidently dressed the Expendables as a unit in one big cushion-cased diver.
