The TAG Heuer S/el ("Sports elegance") is the brand's 1987 steel sports-luxury line, best known for the distinctive S-shaped links running down its bracelet and case sides. Offered through the 1990s in three-hand and chronograph quartz executions, the S/el Leather chronograph pairs a busy analog/digital three-register dial and 4:30 date window with L-shaped end links on a leather strap, reading as loud and very of-its-decade next to the brand's later, plainer Link. TAG Heuer eventually renamed the line the Link outright. (Hodinkee)
