Akira Terao (born 18 May 1947 in Yokohama, the son of actor and director Jukichi Uno) is a Japanese actor and musician active since the mid-1960s. He is the only male performer to win both the Japan Record Award, for his 1981 hit "Ruby no Yubiwa," and the Japan Academy Prize for Outstanding Actor, earned for his work with Akira Kurosawa on Ran (1985) and Dreams (1990). He plays the friendly neighbor Kuriyama in Yoji Yamada's Mom, Is That You?! (2023). (Wikipedia)
