Albert Dupontel (born 1964, Saint-Germain-en-Laye) is a French actor and director who abandoned medical studies for the stage and built a reputation in caustic comedy before turning to darker material, notably Gaspar Noé's Irréversible and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's A Very Long Engagement. He played the policeman David Hoffman in Julien Leclercq's science-fiction thriller Chrysalis, and won the César for Best Director for See You Up There. (Wikipedia)
