Piaget Altiplano
More actions
The Piaget Altiplano is Piaget's ultra-thin dress line, a round case pared down to the minimum a movement will allow, built to showcase the maker's own long run of record calibres: the hand-wound 9P of 1957, at 2 mm the thinnest mechanical movement made at the time, and the automatic 12P that followed in 1960 with a micro-rotor set into the movement plane rather than stacked above it. Piaget has kept both approaches in the modern Altiplano, alongside ultra-thin perpetual calendars and tourbillons built to the same discipline. (Piaget)
The line spans steel, white, yellow and pink gold cases across many sizes and decades, so a screen sighting without a stated reference links the family rather than one execution.
