Andrew Scott (born 21 October 1976 in Dublin) is an Irish actor whose accolades include two Laurence Olivier Awards, a BAFTA Television Award and a Silver Bear. He first came to wide attention as James Moriarty in the BBC's Sherlock (2010–2017), and went on to Emmy-nominated roles as a grief-stricken rideshare driver in Black Mirror: Smithereens (2019) and as the title character in Ripley (2024), Steven Zaillian's Netflix adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's novel. His film work includes Pride (2014), Spectre (2015), 1917 (2019) and the Golden Globe-nominated All of Us Strangers (2023). (Wikipedia)
