Anthony Franciosa (1928–2006) was an American actor who made his name on Broadway in A Hatful of Rain, earning an Academy Award nomination for reprising the role on film. He won the Best Actor prize at the 1957 Venice Film Festival and a Golden Globe for Career (1959), appeared in A Face in the Crowd and The Long, Hot Summer, and starred in the television series The Name of the Game (1968–1971).
