Cary Grant (1904–1986) was an English-born American actor known for his sophisticated comic timing and leading-man charm across more than seventy films from the 1930s through the 1960s. A five-time Golden Globe nominee, he received an Academy Honorary Award in 1970 and starred in several of Alfred Hitchcock's best-known thrillers, including North by Northwest (1959). (Wikipedia)
