Charles Martin Smith (born 30 October 1953) is an American actor and director who played Terry "the Toad" Fields in American Graffiti, the biologist Tyler in Never Cry Wolf and the Treasury accountant Oscar Wallace in The Untouchables, and who moved behind the camera to direct Air Bud, Dolphin Tale and its sequel.
