Tradition watch
A Tradition watch is a Sears, Roebuck house-brand watch: Sears sold Tradition dress watches for men and women from around the mid-1950s and added dive and sport models in the 1960s, ordering them from Swiss suppliers such as A. Schild, whose movements were co-signed "Sears Roebuck Co.", before 1970s production shifted to cheaper Japanese calibres under the plain Sears name. (Two Broke Watch Snobs; Fifth Wrist) Oscar Wallace's watch in The Untouchables is a production facsimile of a Tradition rather than a Sears product, a department-store choice that suits a Treasury accountant.
