Dorothée, stage name of Frédérique Hoschedé (born 14 July 1953 in Paris), is a French singer, actress, and television host best known for presenting the children's programs Récré A2 (1978-1987) and Club Dorothée (1987-1997), which made her one of French television's most recognizable personalities. Spotted by François Truffaut while working as a continuity announcer, she appeared in his L'Amour en fuite (1979) and, the following year, played Laurence Bertil opposite Philippe Noiret and Michel Serrault in Pile ou Face, her second and last film role.
