Eddie Constantine (born Edward Israel Constantinowsky, October 29, 1913 – February 25, 1993) was an American-born actor and singer who spent most of his career in France. Discovered by Édith Piaf in Paris cabaret, he became a French pulp-cinema fixture playing secret agent Lemmy Caution and similar tough-guy roles through the 1950s and 1960s, later working with arthouse directors including Jean-Luc Godard and Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
