Henry Winkler is an American actor, producer, and author born 30 October 1945, best known for playing Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli on the sitcom Happy Days (1974–1984). A prolific character actor since, he won a Primetime Emmy Award as acting teacher Gene Cousineau in Barry (2018–2023), and has earned two Golden Globe Awards and further Emmy nominations for roles in Scream, The Waterboy, and Arrested Development.
