James Fox (born 1939) is an English actor who won a BAFTA for The Servant (1963) and went on to star opposite Mick Jagger in the cult crime drama Performance (1970). He largely left acting for a decade for evangelical Christian work, returning in the early 1980s to build a reputation for cultured, upper-class roles in films including A Passage to India (1984) and The Remains of the Day (1993).
