Jean Yanne (1933–2003) was a French actor, director, screenwriter, and composer known for his caustic satirical wit as a radio and television personality alongside his film career. He won the Best Actor award at the 1972 Cannes Film Festival for Maurice Pialat's Nous ne vieillirons pas ensemble, and later directed several films of his own. He plays the unnamed police commissioner in Michel Deville's Le Paltoquet (1986). (Wikipedia)
