Jennifer Carpenter, born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1979, is an American actress whose breakout was the title role in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. As Debra Morgan she anchored all eight seasons of Dexter (winning a Saturn Award for the part) and later led CBS's spy drama The Enemy Within and returned to the franchise in Dexter: New Blood.
