Lloyd Nolan (1902-1985) was an American stage, film, and television actor whose career spanned more than a hundred films, from B-picture crime leads to featured character work in productions such as Bataan (1943) and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945). He won a 1955 Emmy Award recreating his stage role as Captain Queeg in the televised The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, and later co-starred in the pioneering sitcom Julia (1968-1971). (Wikipedia)
