Matthias Schoenaerts is a Belgian actor working since a teenage debut in Daens (1992). He broke through as the hormone-dealing Jacky in Bullhead (2011) and opposite Marion Cotillard in Rust and Bone (2012), winning the Cesar for Most Promising Actor, and has since taken physical, often wounded roles in Far from the Madding Crowd, The Danish Girl, and The Mustang.
