A gold watch is exactly as much as the frame supports: a yellow-metal case on a wrist, with no legible dial text, no maker's mark that survives the resolution, and no case profile distinctive enough to place. Gold is among the hardest finishes to work from on film, since studio lighting blows the surface out and flattens the very edges and lugs that would narrow a candidate. Slim dress proportions in yellow metal have also been shared by hundreds of makers for a century. Three sightings carry only this description; a close shot of the dial, or a wardrobe source naming what was supplied, would settle any of them.
