Mayu Tsuruta (born April 25, 1970, in Kanagawa Prefecture) is a Japanese actress who began as a child model before moving into television and film. She won the Japan Academy Prize for Best Supporting Actress for Kike, Wadatsumi no Koe (1995) and has appeared in three NHK Taiga dramas, Hana no Ran (1994), Tokugawa Yoshinobu (1998), and Atsuhime (2008), as well as the Rurouni Kenshin film series.
