Mekhi Phifer (born 1974, New York City) is an American actor who broke out in Spike Lee's Clockers before roles in 8 Mile and Soul Food, and spent six seasons as Dr. Gregory Pratt on the NBC medical drama ER. He joined the Fox procedural Lie to Me as FBI liaison Ben Reynolds, recurring in the first season and becoming a series regular in the second. (Wikipedia)
